The President of the Republic will be in Nice from Sunday, June 8 to Tuesday, June 10 for the third edition of the United Nations Ocean Conference, jointly organized by France and Costa Rica.
Following New York in 2017 and Lisbon in 2022, this new edition marks a major milestone in the international agenda for ocean governance, which faces numerous challenges:
- climate change,
- rising sea levels,
- overfishing and illegal fishing.
This conference will bring together numerous heads of state and government, representatives of international organizations, as well as all stakeholders committed to ocean preservation: associations, non-governmental organizations, the scientific community, the private sector, Indigenous peoples, and the general public.
