On Tuesday 10th June 2025, President Emmanuel Macron was in Nice for the third United Nations Ocean Conference.
He took part in the 6th Pacific-France Summit alongside representatives from 19 island states.
Participants addressed key challenges facing the region, particularly the climate crisis impacting oceans and threatening the sustainability of island nations and their populations.

Following the summit, President Emmanuel Macron held a series of bilateral meetings with leaders from several countries.
He then joined the set of « Urgence Océan : Un Sommet Pour Tout Changer » ("Ocean Emergency : A Summit for Change"), a special programme broadcast by France Télévisions.
