The President Emmanuel Macron made an official visit to Greenland on Sunday, 15th June 2025.

At their invitation, he met both the Prime Minister of Greenland, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, and the Danish Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen.

The three leaders talked about security in the North Atlantic and in the Arctic, as well as climate change, the energy transition, and the security of supply in critical minerals.

Together they visited Greenland's climate research center on the glacier of Mount Nunatarsuaq, where they exchanged views with scientists.

At the end of the day, they gave a press conference in which they highlighted the importance of developing axes of cooperation to preserve the territorial integrity of Greenland and to contribute to the reinforcement of European sovereignty over this territory.
