Paris hosted the first International Space Summit, held at the Grand Palais on 9 and 10 September 2026.
Announced by the President of the Republic in October 2025, during the presentation of France’s national space strategy, the Summit brought together in Paris heads of state and government, ministers, astronauts, national and international space agencies, as well as leading players in the space economy and New Space start-ups.
90 countries and international organisations were represented, including around sixty at the level of heads of state and government or ministers.
