The President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, and the President of the Republic of Korea, Lee Jae-myung, will co-chair the Lumière Summit on Monday, September 7, 2026, in Saint-Paul de Vence.

This event is the first international summit dedicated to the future of cinema and the moving image. It will bring together 150 high-level guests from more than 30 countries across the five continents, including leading international executives and decision-makers from the film, audiovisual, and video game industries, as well as political figures and creative talents who support the Summit’s commitments.

Together, they will discuss the challenges and opportunities for the future of cinema and moving image, and commit to concrete actions, including on the impacts of artificial intelligence, media literacy education from an early age, and the industry’s economic model.

The Lumière Summit will thus serve as a strategic platform for forging new alliances in the fields of cinema and moving image. It will also be an opportunity to showcase France’s ever-renewed attractiveness in the fields of film, television series, animation, and video games—to the benefit of the French people and our regions—and to highlight the industrial and cultural strengths that France has to offer in building the future of cinema and moving image.
