The President of the Republic went to Brussels on October 22 and 23 for the European Council.
On the evening of October 22, heads of state and government first held discussions with Egyptian President Al-Sissi, following the EU-Egypt summit.
The European Council on October 23 enabled discussions on continuing support for Ukraine, particularly in military and financial terms, as well as an update on strengthening European defense capabilities and the situation in the Middle East.
Heads of state and government also addressed the acceleration of the EU’s competitiveness agenda and support for green and digital transitions.
At the end of the day, an exchange was organized with European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde, as part of a Euro summit.
