French President Emmanuel Macron attented the opening of the 142nd Session of the IOC, that held at the Fondation Louis Vuitton, in Paris.
After welcoming IOC's members in France, an Olympic land where the first congress was held in 1894, the President of the Republic attended the opening ceremony for the new session.
On this occasion, the Head of State reminded everyone of France's ambitions for the 2024 Games and the respect of the commiments for their organization.
He also spoke about the role of sport and olympism in achieving following goals: sustainable development, peace promotion and States dialogue.
