French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed Joe Biden, President of the United States, and his wife Dr Jill Biden, for his first state visit in France on Saturday June 8th 2024.
President Emmanuel Macron previously went to the United States for a state visit in 2022 and President Joe Biden attended the D-Day commemorations in Normandy earlier this week.

The French President welcomed President Joe Biden at the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.

While the war is back in Europe, both presidents declared their strong support in the long term for Ukraine.
This cooperation on international crisis is set to prepare new international meetings like G7 in Italy in June and NATO summit in Washington in July.

They discussed bilateral cooperations, especially in economic, nuclear and space matters.
To create jobs in the United States as well as in Europe and to decarbonize our economies.

They also talked about common actions to face global warming and protecting biodiversity.
At the end of the day, both Presidents met again for a state dinner with several guests.
