In a video message, the President of the French Republic announced that France will contribute $150 million to the International Fund for Agricultural Development for the 2025-2027 cycle, the largest contribution ever to an IFAD replenishment.
France will be hosting the 13th IFAD replenishment conference in Paris in December 2023. The announce is fully in line with the Paris Pact for People and Planet, collectively forged in June in the Summit for a new financial pact, which aims to ensure that every population has the means to fight poverty, climate change and preserve nature.

Historic contribution by France to the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
Dear Global Citizens
Many of you were in Paris last June, for the Paris Pact for People and Planet. We do believe that we have to fight together against poverty, climate change and for biodiversity.
This is why we want to take our part and to follow up on these efforts. We decided to invest 150 million dollars in IFAD, the International Fund for Agricultural Development. France decided to host and organise the 13th replenishment conference of IFAD, and we launch now the auctions by taking this commitment.
We will invest 150 million dollars in IFAD for the years to come in rural areas, the poorest rural areas.
This is the biggest commitment ever to IFAD.
I count on you. Thank you so much.
