The President of the French Republic chaired a meeting on peace and security for Ukraine with heads of state and government on Thursday, 27 March.
Building on the initiative launched in Paris on 17 February and continuing discussions with our British partners, this meeting aimed to identify operational options in support of American efforts.
The shared objective of all participants was to achieve a strong and lasting peace in Ukraine, while upholding the security interests of Ukrainians and Europeans.
The participants discussed:
- the immediate reinforcement of assistance to Ukraine;
- the ways to implement and expand a ceasefire;
- the modalities of long-term support for Ukraine and its armed forces;
- the necessary security guarantees for Ukraine.
