President Macron spoke to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, today, Thursday 7 November, on the sidelines of the fifth European Political Community summit, in Budapest.
President Macron began by utterly condemning the deployment of North Korean troops, which is an unacceptable escalation and a further particularly serious internationalization of this conflict on European soil.
During the discusssion, President Macron was keen to reaffirm to the Ukrainian President that France will continue to support Ukraine for as long and as intensely as necessary to thwart the war of aggression Russia is waging in Ukraine and to achieve a just, lasting peace with due regard for international law.
