President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron has hosted the Summit on the Financing of African Economies at the Grand Palais Éphémère, in Paris.
Some 30 Heads of State and Government and leaders of international organizations were attending.
This Summit followed on from the publication of an op-ed of 18 African and European leaders, published on 15 April 2020, to rally the international community’s support in addressing the consequences of the health and economic crisis that the pandemic has caused in Africa.
At the end of the Summit, President Emmanuel Macron will hold a joint press conference.
