As part of the AI Action Summit on February 10-11, 2025, the Paris Peace Forum launched a call for projects to identify initiatives using AI for the common good. The call is now closed and the applications will be thoroughly reviewed.
Participation was substantial, with a total of 770 applications from 111 countries. This abundance of proposals and enthusiasm reflect the number of stakeholders mobilized to contribute to the development of AI-driven projects aimed at addressing the most pressing global challenges.

- India – 31 applications
- Kenya – 27 applications

A panel of experts will reveal, by mid-December 2024, the 50 selected winners whose projects will be presented at the AI Action Summit on February 10-11, 2025.
The projects had to focus on one of the five major themes of the Summit: Public interest AI, Future of work, Innovation and culture, Trust in AI and Global AI Governance.
The most popular sub-themes were:
- Education – 81 projects
- Global Health and Scientific Cooperation – 68 projects
- Environmental Sustainability – 65 projects
- AI for Climate Action – 60 projects
- Security, Transparency, and Accountability – 58 projects
