Located in front of the place where the Head of State works and lives, the Maison Elysée is a new building belonging to the Presidency of the Republic.

It was designed to make the Élysée accessible to all, French citizens and foreign visitors alike, in order to share and promote our heritage. Given the growing demand to discover the Palais, the European Heritage Days, receptions and visits by associations and schools are no longer enough. This is how the original project of an Élysée outside the walls came about.

Through exceptional pieces chosen with the collaboration of the National Manufacture, the daily life of the Élysée Palace is revealed, with its diplomatic protocol, symbols and Republican honours, receptions and official dinners. Objects, portraits and videos illustrate what goes on behind the scenes at the Palace, its staff and its professions.

To make the experience unforgettable and rich in discovery, you will be taken on a journey through time, from the origins of the Palais to the present day, thanks to an immersive room.

A café and a shop complete the tour, offering you the chance to taste or buy French-made products selected for their quality.

This joint project is the result of close collaboration between Michel Goutal, chief architect of the Monuments Historiques, and Sarah Poniatowski (Maison Sarah Lavoine). Inspired by the Elysée Palace, the Maison Elysée refers to the colour scheme of the entrance hall, the Salle des Fêtes and the Murat staircase. You'll find a monumental chandelier, as well as inspiration from the window railings of the Hôtel d'Evreux.

With a breathtaking view of the Élysée Palace and its Cour d'Honneur, this place has been specially designed to offer an exceptional alternative experience to those who dream of visiting the Élysée Palace.
