Fait partie du dossier : G7 engagement groups

The L7 is an engagement group that aims to represent the interests of workers and employees, passing on the key messages from the global trade union movement ahead of and during ministerial meetings (employment, education, climate, innovation, etc.) and the G7 Leaders’ Summit.

It is made up of trade unions from the G7 countries and is being coordinated, during the French G7 Presidency, by the Trade Union Advisory Committee to the OECD (TUAC) and International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC). The trade unions have taken part in the G7 process since its creation, with a first Trade Union Advisory Committee declaration in 1977.

The Labour 7 members set down priorities within the consultation process and approve political priorities during an L7 conference. In 2019, it was held in Paris on 6 June. Under the 2019 French G7 Presidency, the TUAC and the ITUC have worked closely with the French trade unions CFDT, CFE-CGC, CFTC, CGT, FO and UNSA.
