The town of Evian is located in southeastern France, north of the French Alps, in the Haute Savoie department. Built in an amphitheater shape on the shores of Lake Geneva (altitudes : 372m-725m), Evian enjoys an exceptional environment, between Lake Geneva, the largest lake in Europe (582 km²), and the foothills of the Chablais Alpine massif.

The town, which has more than 9,000 inhabitants, owes its development and reputation to its natural mineral water, whose properties have been known since 1790. Keen to showcase its privileged natural setting, Evian presents itself as a modern spa resort, equipped with high-quality tourist facilities, while preserving its garden city atmosphere.

Haute-Savoie, a dynamic department.

The department of Haute-Savoie, which includes Evian and the surrounding areas where the Summit will take place, enjoys an exceptional natural setting. A mountainous region, Haute-Savoie has two large lakes (Lake Geneva and Lake Annecy) and four mountain ranges, including the famous Mont Blanc massif.

With these natural assets, Haute-Savoie has a dynamic economy based on tourism, but also on agriculture (one-third of the territory) and innovative industry.
It is therefore a very attractive place to live, which is reflected in sustained population growth (861,000 inhabitants, an increase of 10% since 1990).
