Welcome to the media Frequently Asked Questions (media Q&A) for the G7 Summit in Evian, which will take place from 15 to 17 June 2026.
On this page, you will find answers to a number of questions you may have while preparing for your arrival in Evian-les-Bains to cover the Summit.
ACCOMMODATION
Q: When can I book my hotel room?
The accommodation platform for the press wishing to cover the G7 Summit in Evian is now open. You can now book your hotel room (for a minimum duration of 3 nights) in the various available establishments. As capacities are limited, we advise you to book as soon as possible to benefit from the best choice.
For foreign journalists on board, please contact your embassies before taking any action. Several accommodations have been reserved for each of the member countries.
Q: How can I book a hotel close to the Summit venue?
A list of partner hotels, located in the municipalities of Morzine and Les Gets, is available via the platform. Bookings must be made directly by journalists using the dedicated link. As capacity is limited, early booking is recommended.
A transport service will be provided to reach the Summit venues (see the Transport section).
Please note that a minimum of three nights is required for any booking through the platform.
Q: Where are the available hotels located near the summit site?
If all partner hotels are fully booked, please contact the support service of the platform dedicated to the media ([email protected]). Alternative solutions may be offered within the area served by the transport services provided (see the Transport section).
For foreign embedded journalists, please contact your embassies before taking any steps. A number of accommodation options have been reserved for each member country.
ACCREDITATION
Q: When will the accreditation process start?
The accreditation process will open in April. A link will be made available on the official G7 website and shared via social media.
Q: When will I receive confirmation of my accreditation?
Accreditation confirmations may be sent out in the weeks following the closing of applications.
Any incomplete request or request submitted after the deadline will not be guaranteed.
Q: What happens if I pay for my accommodation but I am ultimately not accredited?
No penalty will be applied if we are able to rebook the cancelled rooms, regardless of the cancellation date. Failing that, the applicable cancellation conditions in force will apply.
Q: How and where can I collect my media accreditation?
The accreditation centre is located within the Cité de l’Eau in Publier. Several options will be available to reach this accreditation centre (see the Transport section).
Detailed arrangements for collecting accreditations will be communicated to journalists whose registration has been approved.
A valid official ID will be required to collect your badge, along with the accreditation confirmation.
Q: Does my accreditation serve as a visa to enter French territory?
No, registration and accreditation do not exempt participants from obtaining a visa to enter French national territory.
It is the responsibility of participants to check whether they need a visa to enter France. Please note that no visas can be issued on arrival.
To find out whether they need a visa, and for any questions relating to visas, participants are invited to contact a French consulate or consult the French visa portal at the following address: https://francevisas.gouv.fr/en/web/france-visas/. Participants who require a visa are encouraged to submit their applications before leaving their country of residence. The minimum processing time for visa applications is three weeks. Late applications may not be processed in time. Being an invited guest or participant in the conference does not exempt applicants from completing the visa application form and providing the documents required for this process.
